The Bitvae is a sonic brush carrying the ADA Seal of Acceptance at a price where that is unusual. Five modes, a two-minute timer with 30-second quadrant pulses, a pressure sensor, IPX7 sealing and a claimed 60 days per charge, with eight heads and a travel case in the box. My Dental Advocate rates it 9.9 out of 10; Dentaly, looking at the same range, gives 3 out of 5. That spread is the honest picture, because the cleaning is fine and the longevity is the gamble.

Strengths
  • ADA approval for plaque removal and gingivitis prevention backed by clinical standards
  • 60-day battery life with 8 replacement heads included for up to 2 years of use
  • Travel-friendly design with protective case and IPX7 waterproofing
Watch-outs
  • Battery run time drops noticeably after several months for some owners
  • Casing shows scuffs and wear after extended use
  • Brush heads soften sooner than the replacement schedule assumes under hard use

The Pro 1000 is the cheapest Oral-B that still has the two things that matter: an oscillating-pulsating head and a pressure sensor. Electric Teeth scored it 4.5 out of 5 and My Dental Advocate 9.9 out of 10, all on the same argument, that it cleans as well as brushes several times the price because the extra money elsewhere buys apps rather than motors. TechGearLab was cooler at 4 out of 5. Replacement heads are cheap and stocked everywhere.

Strengths
  • Small round oscillating head reaches behind molars a manual brush misses
  • Two-minute timer with a 30-second pulse to move you between quadrants
  • Audible pressure sensor warns before hard brushing damages gums
Watch-outs
  • Loud in use, to the point that reviewers reach for power-tool comparisons
  • NiMH cell with no charge indicator, so a flat battery arrives without warning
  • No display, app or travel case; three modes is the entire feature set
