The Zevo Flying Insect Trap does not zap. Blue and UV light draw flying insects onto a disposable adhesive cartridge behind a curved shield, silently and without chemicals. Wirecutter's Elissa Sanci cleared a garage fly problem with one overnight run; Bob Vila's week-long trial caught a steady handful of fungus gnats and fruit flies a day in a house with no visible infestation. It is a targeted tool for a kitchen, bathroom or plant corner rather than a whole-home answer, and it needs a fresh cartridge on a schedule.

The DynaTrap DT160 provides extensive outdoor coverage up to ¾ acre, which far exceeds the indoor-focused Katchy trap and Zevo trap. However, unlike the Flowtron FC4700 which offers silent low-voltage stunning, the DT160's fan-based trapping may be noisier. The DT160's weather-resistant design makes it superior to the Aspectek zapper for outdoor use, but it doesn't kill insects like the Flowtron models do, and it may inadvertently capture beneficial pollinators.

Zevo Flying Insect Trap

The Zevo Flying Insect Trap uses ultra-sticky cartridges which are easier to replace than the DynaTrap DT3007W's glue cards, but unlike the Katchy trap, it's more effective against gnats and fruit flies.
