The short answer

JOYEKY Laptop Stand for Desk and Twelve South Curve for MacBooks and Laptops score essentially the same (4.0 vs 4.0). Pick the one whose trade-offs match your priorities — the strengths and watch-outs below are where they actually differ.

Ranked #4 in Best Ergonomic Laptop Stands

JOYEKY Laptop Stand for Desk

4.0

1 sourceall derived

The JOYEKY Laptop Stand puts the laptop on a 360° rotating base, useful when a screen has to face more than one person in a shared workspace. It folds down for transport, which suits remote workers and frequent travelers, and the aluminum alloy frame keeps it stable and durable. Reviewers credited the ergonomics with reducing neck and shoulder pain, though a few questioned compatibility with particular laptop models. Anyone after an adjustable, portable stand for better posture and workspace ergonomics is the target.

Strengths

— 360° rotating base allows flexible screen positioning for collaboration and viewing angles
— Foldable and portable design makes it easy to carry for remote or outdoor use
— Made of aluminum alloy for durability and stable performance

Watch-outs

— Limited compatibility information for specific laptop models
— Anti-skid padding is not documented, so grip on a bare desk is unverified

Ranked #3 in Best Ergonomic Laptop Stands

Twelve South Curve for MacBooks and Laptops

4.0

1 sourceall derived$59.95as of Oct 2

The Twelve South Curve is an aluminium arc that lifts a MacBook to a higher viewing angle, which is the whole point of it: the screen comes up toward eye level and the neck stops bending down to meet it. Podfeet rated it well, giving it an A+ for ergonomics. The constraint is fit — it is built for 10- to 16-inch laptops, and it is a stand rather than a docking solution. Desk-bound Mac users building an ergonomic setup are the buyers.

Strengths

— Elevates MacBook to optimal viewing angle for reduced neck strain; Podfeet found it put the screen exactly at eye level
— Sturdy aluminum construction with premium feel, and Podfeet found it not very bouncy
— Compatible with 10- to 16-inch laptops, including MacBooks

Watch-outs

— Limited to 10- to 16-inch laptops
— May not fit all laptop cases or accessories

How they stack up

JOYEKY Laptop Stand for Desk

The JOYEKY stand's 360° rotating base is a unique feature not found in the SOUNDANCE or Amazon Basics models, making it ideal for collaborative workspaces. While the Roost Laptop Stand V2 is more durable, the JOYEKY offers better flexibility in screen positioning. Unlike the Rain Design mStand, it lacks a wide base but provides more ergonomic adjustability and is better suited for shared work environments.

Twelve South Curve for MacBooks and Laptops

While the Rain Design mStand offers a wider base, the Curve's compatibility with specific MacBook sizes makes it ideal for Apple users. Unlike the JOYEKY stand, it doesn't have a rotating base but provides better support for MacBook models and is more stable during use.
