Ruggable's own specification puts the Flatwoven cover at 2 mm over a 1/8-inch pad, which is why it slides under doors that defeat thicker rugs. The washing is genuinely useful and genuinely awkward — The Spruce recommends doing it once at the end of a season and scrubbing your machine afterwards. Day to day, a hose and spot cleaner do the job. It is the pick for a patio shared with dogs and children rather than the pick for the most punishing weather.
