Load regulation that holds, ripple that does not
HWBusters' bench data puts 12V load regulation at 0.83% at full load and 5V at 0.58%, both comfortably inside what this class should deliver. The 3.3V rail is where the unit gives ground: regulation drifts to 1.10% and ripple reaches 18.16mV at full load, above the 14mV figure reviewers generally treat as the bar for a premium build. Nothing there will break a system, but it is the measurable difference between this and Corsair's more expensive RM850x, which holds its transient response better under the same conditions.
Gold efficiency that collapses at very low load
Efficiency averages 88.57% on 115V and 90.78% on 230V, which is a legitimate Gold result and near the top of what an 80 PLUS Gold unit promises. Two caveats sit behind that average. What is missing is a hybrid mode that stops the fan entirely at low load, which is standard on higher-tier supplies and is exactly the feature a quiet-build owner would want here.
Teapo capacitors instead of Japanese ones
