An aluminium body SURI repairs instead of replaces
SURI's whole argument is that the handle should outlive its warranty. The aluminium body is designed to be opened and repaired, and SURI sends a refurbished replacement free inside warranty or for 25 pounds after it. Brush heads are made from cornstarch and castor oil and go back to the company for recycling rather than into a bin. Whether that is worth paying for is a personal call, but it is a genuine design difference rather than a marketing layer over the usual sealed plastic stick.
33,000 vibrations a minute through a W-cut head
The motor runs at 33,000 vibrations per minute with two modes, regular and polish, and the head uses soft bristles cut into a W so they wrap the edge of the tooth. There is a textured tongue scraper on the back. The two-minute timer pulses every 30 seconds to move you to the next quadrant.
