5000mAh buys about one phone top-up
Capacity is 5000mAh, which is roughly the size of a modern iPhone's own battery and therefore the number that decides whether this product suits a given buyer. Wireless charging through a magnetic interface loses energy as heat on both sides of the coupling, so a bank of this size does not deliver a full charge from empty; it delivers most of one, and less than that if the phone is being used while it charges. That is the honest framing. It is a top-up device for getting through an evening, not a device for going a second day, and buying it expecting the latter guarantees disappointment.
Silicone shell and 5.11 ounces
The bank weighs 5.11 ounces and is finished in silicone rather than hard plastic or aluminium. That choice matters more than it sounds: silicone grips the back of a phone, absorbs the small knocks that a magnetically attached accessory takes when a phone is set down, and does not scratch a phone's glass back the way a bare plastic shell can. It also picks up lint and holds fingerprints.
