Air mesh that dries in a couple of hours
The mesh is the reason to buy this harness. Road Trip Tails took theirs wading through creeks and reported it dried completely in a few hours with no damp smell left behind — the specific failure of padded nylon harnesses, which stay wet and start to stink. Sand shakes out of it after a beach walk. For a dog that goes in water regularly, that one property outranks most other features.
Step-in, so nothing goes over the head
The dog steps into the vest and it closes upward: a hook-and-loop tab joins the sides and a plastic clasp snaps over the top. That layout suits dogs that duck away from anything coming toward their face, and it makes the harness quick to fit on a squirming small dog.
