The construction is why this blanket keeps turning up at the top of lists. Glass microbeads sit in two-inch squares rather than the larger pockets cheaper blankets use, with polyester fiberfill packed alongside them, and the result is weight that stays where it is put instead of sliding into the corners. Mattress Clarity scored it 4.6 out of 5 and Mattress Miracle 4.9 out of 5, both crediting the even distribution. The beads are quiet as well, with no rattle when you turn over.
Minky one way, bamboo lyocell the other
The blanket ships with a dual-sided duvet cover: polyester minky on one face and bamboo lyocell on the other, so it can be flipped for a warmer or cooler surface as the seasons change. Sixteen ties hold the inner blanket in place, which is more than most covers bother with and does stop the shifting that ruins cheaper sets. The zip that closes the cover is thin and concealed, and it is genuinely irritating to find the first few times.

How it compares
