Upgraded hardware lifted its stain removal score to 135, a big jump from 73 for the original, and reviewers credited the dual spinning mop pads and 12 Newtons of pressure for the difference in cleaning performance. Vacuuming, though, is unchanged from the first version, and the second-generation price has climbed to nearly $600. That makes it a solid upgrade if mopping is your priority, and a harder increase to justify if you were hoping for broader vacuuming gains. Buyers who care more about mopping than vacuuming are the ones who get their money's worth.

The Roborock Q10 S5+ is a budget vacuum/mop combo with far more suction than its price suggests. Vacuum Wars reviewers measured the fourth-highest suction level of more than 150 models tested, with 96% scores in both carpet deep clean and pet hair pickup. LiDAR navigation and auto-empty come along too, and during one review period it sold for under $400, a price rarely seen in this category. Two caveats: early customer feedback raises quality control concerns, and mopping ratings came in lower. Buy it for carpet cleaning, not for mopping.
