Suction is where this vacuum outruns its price. Vacuum Wars measured the fourth-highest suction of more than 150 robots it has tested, at 10,000 Pa, and recorded a 96% carpet deep-clean result, tied for the highest it has logged. Pet-hair pickup also came in at 96%, against a category average of 75.4%.
JawScrapers comb and a dual anti-tangle brush
The anti-tangle setup pairs a comb on the main brush with a treated side brush, and it does keep long hair from wrapping the roller. Good Gear's Stephanie Fallon still found visible fur left behind after a short run, so heavy shedders should expect repeat passes rather than one cycle doing the whole job.
Only 40 percent obstacle detection in testing
Navigation is the weak half of this robot. Vacuum Wars scored the ReactiveTech obstacle detection at 40% accuracy, well below premium models, and it drove over simulated pet messes instead of avoiding them. LiDAR mapping of open rooms and multiple floors is solid; cords, furniture legs and general clutter are where it gets caught.
A 2.7L bag the dock fills over about seven weeks
The RockDock Plus empties the 350ml onboard bin into a 2.7L bag after each run, which Good Gear's Stephanie Fallon called a game changer for a busy household and rated at up to seven weeks of debris. The dock wants clearance on both sides and in front, on a flat hard surface flush against a wall.
VibraRise 2.0 mopping scored 2.18
Mopping is the compromise. Vacuum Wars rated the VibraRise 2.0 system 2.18, below average for the category, and the pads lift for carpet and detect rugs rather than scrubbing hard at anything. It is fine for maintenance passes over sealed hard floors and it is not a substitute for mopping properly.
Too tall for low furniture, and it screeches on turns
The chassis is larger than a Roomba and will not fit under low furniture, which limits where it can reach. Owners describe a hum on startup and a high-pitched screech during sharp turns. Battery is quoted at 250 minutes, which is more runtime than most homes buying at this price will ever need in one session.
