A 500 mL tank that runs most of a day
The tank holds 500 mL, about 17 ounces, which is several times what the small ceramic diffusers hold and the entire reason to choose this one. Business Insider, which named it the best of the diffusers it looked at, reports running it for sixteen hours before a refill. Wirecutter describes the mist as strong and the runtime as several hours between fills. On the light setting it will cover an evening and still be going in the morning.
Timers at 60, 120 and 180 minutes
Control runs from a remote as well as the unit itself: two mist strengths, a timer at 60, 120 or 180 minutes, continuous and intermittent modes, and seven LED colours with the light able to be switched off entirely. The remote is the part reviewers single out, because a diffuser usually ends up across the room from wherever you are sitting. Nothing about the interface needs a manual.
Barrel-jack power, and the socket is underneath
Power comes in through a barrel jack on the underside of the base rather than USB-C, and that has two consequences.
