The Delta 3 Plus is a 1024Wh station on LiFePO4 chemistry rated for 3000+ cycles, roughly a decade of daily use before meaningful capacity loss, and that is the main reason to prefer it to an older lithium-ion unit. It weighs 28 lb and measures 9.52 by 12 by 19.44 inches, a rectangular slab with a moulded top handle and rubber feet. Build quality is solid: a thick plastic shell with no flex, and an LCD reporting battery percentage, input and output wattage, estimated runtime and temperature. Trusted Reviews scored it 5 out of 5 and Output Report 9.1 out of 10, the warmest verdicts in a consistently positive set.
2400W continuous with a 4800W surge
Output is the differentiator. The spec sheet lists 2400W continuous and 4800W surge across five AC outlets, four USB ports including a 140W USB-C, and two DC outputs. Output Report's argument is that no other 1000Wh-class station puts out this much continuously, and it changes what the unit can actually run: a space heater, an induction hob or a corded power tool will trip the overload protection on most rivals at this capacity. Motor startup draws from a fridge or a pump are covered by the surge headroom. What you cannot do is run any of that for long, because 1024Wh is still 1024Wh.

The expansion batteries only speak to EcoFlow hardware, so that path commits you to one manufacturer at every future step. For occasional camping, a cheaper 1000Wh station does the job; for a backup system you intend to grow, this is the sensible entry point.
