Double doors and sliding bolt locks
The Sweetcrispy 36-inch dog crate demonstrates a thoughtful approach to pet containment design, featuring a robust metal wire construction that balances durability with visibility. According to Sweetcrispy's own product description, the crate utilizes thick metal mesh that provides optimal protection while maintaining a clear view of the pet inside. The dual-door configuration—one front and one side—allows for flexible placement in various environments, which Sweetcrispy says helps when the crate sits in a corner, against furniture or in a vehicle. The heavy-duty sliding bolt locks on both doors provide a secure containment system that prevents escapes, a critical feature for pet safety.
Assembly and Portability
Sweetcrispy markets the crate as tool-free and quick to assemble, with the company claiming users can set it up in seconds. The company's website emphasizes that the crate folds conveniently for storage, which is ideal for travel or camping adventures.
Safety and Security Features
Safety features are a primary selling point for the Sweetcrispy crate, with the company highlighting rounded edges and smooth corners as design elements that prevent injury to pets. Sweetcrispy's own documentation recommends using the adjustable divider panel for puppy training, moving it as the puppy grows. However, the company's website does not specify the mesh gauge.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Sweetcrispy emphasizes the ease of cleaning with its leak-proof ABS composite tray, which the company claims ensures effortless maintenance. The company's website mentions that the tray is designed to be leak-proof, which is particularly important for households with puppies or dogs prone to accidents. Sweetcrispy also says the tray resists stains, warping, corrosion and odors.
Limited independent coverage
There is little independent coverage of this specific crate. The one cited video review, from MFML Reviews, covers the 30-inch version of the same Sweetcrispy crate and focuses mainly on choosing the right crate size, so buyers should check their dog against the 36.61 x 22.64 x 24.21-inch footprint, since Sweetcrispy does not publish a weight recommendation.
Unpublished specifications
The main gaps are in the published specifications. Sweetcrispy does not list a mesh gauge, describing it only as thick metal mesh, and gives no weight recommendation or interior dimensions beyond the 36.61 x 22.64 x 24.21-inch exterior measurements, so buyers need to check the fit against their own dog before ordering.
Adjustable divider aids gradual puppy training
The Sweetcrispy 36-inch dog crate is best suited for pet owners who value portability and versatility in their pet containment solutions. Shoppers who frequently travel or have limited storage space will appreciate the folding design and tool-free assembly. The dual-door configuration makes it ideal for households with multiple pets or those requiring different access points. The adjustable divider panel is particularly beneficial for puppy owners looking to manage house training without purchasing multiple crates. However, the crate may not be suitable for larger or more determined escape artists, as the mesh gauge is not specified. The company's lack of specific weight recommendations also means that buyers must carefully consider their pet's size before purchasing. Those seeking a budget-friendly option with good build quality and portability will find this crate to be a solid choice, though users with specific safety requirements or those needing a more secure containment system may want to consider alternatives.

How it compares
The Sweetcrispy offers double doors with heavy-duty locks, which the Impact High Anxiety and FDW models also feature, but it's more secure than the Amazon Basics and lacks the collapsible design of the Diggs Revol. Unlike the EliteField soft crate, it's not spacious or soft, and unlike the Petmate Vari, it's not airline-approved. It's a secure, portable wire crate with a focus on durability.
