Buy it for premium cleaning power and mopping; look at alternatives if navigation is your priority.

35,000 Pa and a perfect pet-hair score
Vacuum Wars logged an 89% carpet deep-clean result and a rare 100% on flattened pet-hair pickup, the strongest cleaning evidence attached to any robot in this category. Suction is quoted at 35,000 Pa. The HyperStream Duo Divide brush splits the roller to stop hair wrapping, and an extending side brush reaches corners the chassis cannot.
Chassis lift helps on thick pile and hurts on low
Gizmodo's Wes Davis found the lift feature counterproductive on low-pile carpet, because raising the whole body lifts the suction away from the fibers. Worse, the robot does not reliably distinguish a thick carpet from a low rug, so a home with mixed flooring gets inconsistent results from one run to the next.
Heated water, spinning pads, and wet pads on carpet
The mop uses dual spinning pads with heated water and downward pressure, and it lifts them for carpet. Gizmodo criticized the water management: the pads are only rinsed back at the dock, so between washes the robot can drag a dirty wet pad across thick carpet. Roller mops that rinse continuously handle that better.
3D structured light and 280-plus recognized objects
Obstacle recognition uses 3D structured light with binocular cameras and its own illumination, and the object library runs past 280 items down to roughly a centimeter across. In testing it avoided 22 of 24 objects. Vacuum Wars still rated overall navigation efficiency slightly below average, and cables remain the reliable failure case.
3.13 inches tall with a retracting LiDAR turret
At 3.13 inches the robot is slim enough for a lot of furniture, helped by a LiDAR mast that sinks flush with the body. The onboard bin holds only 235ml, so the dock is doing most of the work, and battery covers roughly 950 ft² per charge, which is modest for a flagship.
The dock washes, dries and refills detergent
Dock automation is the strongest part of the package: a 3.2L dust bag, hot mop washing, hot-air drying, automatic detergent and odor-control refilling, and fast charging. It is smaller than Dreame's previous docks. Gizmodo found the controlling app cluttered, which is a real cost when this much of the machine is configured in software.
Mashable calls it well-rounded; Gizmodo scored it 2.5
The published verdicts sit far apart. Mashable's Leah Stodart rated it 4.5 out of 5 and singled out edge and corner mopping from the hinged pads. Gizmodo scored it 2.5 out of 5 and judged it not worth the money given the carpet and water-management flaws. Vacuum Wars, also at 4.5, sides with Mashable on cleaning and with Gizmodo on navigation.
